Wedding Speech Uncle

Was this appropriate for the MOB to say in her speech?
I was MOH in a wedding this weekend, and the MOB made a speech at the reception. She thanked all the people who helped out and then thanked the Aunt and Uncle who paid for the wedding dress. She said, ” I would like to thank Mary’s Aunt Millie and Uncle Bob for purchasing Mary’s beautiful gown.
I know it wasn’t necessarily wrong to say that, obviously they should be thanked somehow, but it just seemed like something you shouldn’t announce to the entire room… I don’t know, maybe I’m just weird about saying who paid for something… thoughts? Do you think it was appropriate?
I don’t think it’s a big deal. Either way they meant well, right? Just forget about it.
