6:15 – 6:45Guests arrive (Mezza already on the tables)
6:45 – 7:00MC intro and pre-wedding shots slide show
7:00 – 7:30Introductions and dancing
7:30 – 8:00Entrée’s
7:50 – 8:00“Then and Now” Slide Show
8:00 – 8:45Dinner and photos
8:45 – 9:15Speeches
9:15 – 9:30Cut cake
9:30 – 9:40First dance
9:40 – 10:00Belly dancer (give out cake)
10:00 – 11:30Dancing (roughly about 30 songs)
11:30 – 11:45Bouquet and garter toss
11:45 – 12:15Say goodbyes

the first slide show is just playing in the background while guests come in, no-ones forced to watch it
As a guest, I actually prefer when the intros, first dance and cake cutting are done in sequence, at the very beginning of the ceremony. This way, the important stuff is done and if anyone wants to leave early, they’re not missing anything besides dancing.
