What happens during a ceremony?

Okay, so I’m finding lots of little things like who stands where and who does what to help plan for the wedding…

What is a typical itinerary for a ceremony? They usually only last a half hour or so, right?

We’re having a Baha’i ceremony so we won’t have a preacher standing in front of us doing Bible verses and such. We will have our registrar make a short speech, and I want one of my bridesmaids to sing a song or two… I’ve never been fond of the whole walk-down-the-aisle tradition but I guess I will lol it won’t be in a church though.

What are some examples? I can just alter them as need be.

Hi,Im a professional consultant and from what I understand Baha’i religion permits that the couple is free to choose what they like and want in their ceremony and reception I found this link which may help you.
Typically in a traditional ceremony there the procession headed off by the officiant escorting the groom to the alter and considered bad luck to allow the groom to walk on his own. Then there’ s the wedding party processional withe the last bridesmaid first and the matron/maid of honor last then the junior brides/grooms then the flower girls then the bride escorted by a parent or significant person in her life.
Traditional ceremonies can last from 12 min. to 1 hour but that’s stretching it. The processional is with the bride/groom leading it off as a newly married couple.
