Breast Cancer DIY Wedding Favors

Sometimes we take live for granted.
We wish that we will find a partner who we want to spend our lives with us and grow old gracefully together. We make provisions for the future.
Sometimes, we pray that our marriages will be blessed with children and our children will have children of their own.
What a simple dream, that would be, if only this were to come true for all of us. Live would be great and we would have lots to be thankful for.
As life often does it throws a spanner into the works and events turn our lives upside down.
This event took place abour twelve months ago to me. My friend phoned to say her doctors had discovered she has breast cancer. Just like that a death sentence and she was not even 40. Words just seemed pointless at that moment. What could I tell her that would make her feel one hundred percent better. We both knew that this day would amend all of our lives. I pray for the better.
I knew nothing of what the road ahead lay for my best friend , I just knew that by praying and having a large support network of friends and family she would somehow manage to eventually see light at the end of the tunnel.
I am proud to say that over one year on my friend has came through her darkest days and nights and is still going strong. We all hope for many years to come. What about the women that were not as fortunate as my friend.
A way to honour their memories during the wedding ceremony would perhaps be a candle which could be lit during the ceremony in their memory.
Brides can display their pink ribbons gently scattered on their wedding tables.
Maybe a one minute’s silence during the speeches or just an acknowledgement from the best man during his speech for all the bridal party’s loved ones who can not be there in person but are not forgotten and will always be remembered.
Your guests will all appreciate your efforts.
