In the Godfather (part I) why is Luca Bratsi suprised he was invited to the wedding?
He makes that fumbly little speech to Don Vito but before that, Tom Haagen explains that Luca would like to thank him for being invited to Connie’s wedding b/c he didn’t think he was invited? Wasn’t Luca Don Vito’s Body guard/ hit man? Why wouldn’t he be invited to it? I am confused every time I watch it!
Luca is a thug and a hit man. Parties are usually for the bosses. Sure, they need some security, but Luca was invited as a guest, so he was surprised. Plus, he a dumb oaf.
