Wedding Speech Friends
I am the best man in my friends wedding. What exactly do I have to say?
The groom told me I will have to give a speech at both the rehearsal dinner and the reception. What is the difference between these two speeches? I have given reception speeches before, but never a rehearsal dinner speech, what exactly do I say there?
That’s odd. Usually the bride and groom give the speeches at the rehearsal dinner, thanking their parents and wedding party. However, if your friend wants it this way, fine! Let the rehearsal dinner speech be more informal, tell him how happy you are for both of them, how much fun you’ve had watching them plan their wedding (or whatever). The reception speech can be the formal one with the funny anecdotes, etc.
