Wedding Speech Bridesmaid
Best man speech and Now maid of honor speech?
Do you have to have the maid of honor give a speech these days? Every wedding I have been at I have seen it but my sister is shy so I just wanted to skip it? I was also going to give the DJ directions not to allow anyone else to give a speech…..
Also for those who follow my drama-
I have a bad feeling my “eloping” bridesmaid’s friend will jump up and give a speech if she find out my sister doesn’t want to… And my friend can be embarrassing and crazy… so I would rather not have her talk.
I am the bride and my sister is the maid of honor.
One speech is more than enough. You are right, there is no point on pushing your little sister to do something that she is not prepared to do, and besides, you don’t want to put your guests to sleep with endless speeches from everyone.
My suggestion is for you to to put only one speech on the wedding program and that’s it. That will keep your feisty friend from feeling the urge to make a speech. make arrangement with the DJ to close the mic after the Best man’s speaks.
One speech is more than enough ifyou want a lively, fun party.
