Tips on memorizing a speech for my sister’s wedding?
My sister is getting married in June and I’m reading a passage at her wedding. I’m REALLLLLYY nervous to do this because I don’t want to mess up in front of everybody. I compete in public speaking competitions but i do Impromptu Speaking and Creative Story Telling, both if which require very little memorization. I am also involved in theatre but I’m not an actor im the Stage Manager so I really need some help with memorizing this.
The other thing is am I supposed to read the title and author of the passage that I am reading? I would ask my sister but I’m too embarrassed to.
Any help you can give would be awesome because this is my sister’s wedding after all, plus I haven’t seen her for 6 years….
You don’t need to memorize it. Write notes on index cards and go from there. If it’s a passage you must read and not a speech then have the passage written out and read from that.
