Wedding Scroll Invitations

Renaissance Wedding Invitations?
I am planning on having a renaissance wedding next year, September. I have my dress, the chainmail armor is being handcrafted, etc. etc. I want something creative for the invitations but the only thing I am coming up with are scrolls to be sent out to the guests. Any other ideas out there for a mideval wedding invitation?

Scrolls are perfect for medieval weddings.. coz that’s their form of communication during the medieval times. But you can enhance that idea — you can burn all the four sides of the scroll to give it an old, faded, medieval effect. It’s beautiful coz i’ve done it before. Then make sure all your words in the invitation are also medieval.. squeeze in the concept of having Knights in your wedding, your parents as the King and Queen, and you’re the princess who’s getting married to the prince, etc. It’s fun! I’ve thought of that before!
