i am planing my dream princess wedding i live in ontario ca 4,000 is my limit does anyone have any ideas?

i need a location that can have at least 65 people who ever can help me please ! i am only 19 and i am saving for this big day but i wanna make sure i have evrything i ever wanted :) please let me know wat you think

Well, you will have to start by making a list of “everything you ever wanted”. Four thousand dollars is plenty for a modest gracious wedding that focusses on a few essentials. But some wedding details can be very expensive, and if you want those details, you will have to be very clever.

A wedding dress, just by itself, can cost four thousand dollars. So to stay within your budget you might need to wear yiur mother’s dress, rent, buy second hand, order online from china, or have a home-made dress (if you know a highly skilled, and generous, seamstress).

Your license fee, officiant’s cost and ceremony venue fees can easily add to over a thousand dollars. If you are a member of a religious communitynthat you attend regularly you can save on all of these: if your own minister marries you at your own place of worship the fees may be small or even waived and (in Ontario) you can be married by banns with no license.

Hotel costs generally run in the thousands of dollars for rental of the banquet facilities and catering. Having a home wedding where you entertain your guests with an afternoon garden party instead is actually more traditional, or you can rent a community centre hall and hire a caterer separately, usually for far less than a hotel banquet.

Phtography can also run $4000 or on its own. Do you need albums and dozens of special shots? You can get married with no photographs at all. Or consider just a single group shot done rig at the reception, and maybe individual portraits of the bride and groom done before th wedding at the photographer’s studio.

Flowers are another large cost. If you plan a summer wedding you can use garden flowers instead of going to a florist, and do without corsages.

It can certainly be done. The only question is, will it be what you want?
