Wedding Officiator License

November 19th, 2010

wedding officiator license
on the marriage license it says for the witness to print clearly but my parents signed, is it still legal?

we just got married yesterday and the officiator told me to just fill in everything I could and she would put in her part when I was done. I didnt realize my parents had to print their names, I was just so excited I handed them the paper and told them to sign. Is it going to be a problem when the papers are sent to the court house? my mom also had a question of the legality of finding someone who got ordained online to do the wedding and I voiced this to the officiator and she said to make me feel more comfortable I can take the license to the courthouse myself and have it filed and would know right away if it was legal or not. I would have rather done it all the right way, but the lady who did it knocked like 200.00 off the price and was doing me a favor so I didnt want to question her… can anyone help me? I am scared it is all messed up and it was such a beautiful service, I dont want to mess it upby doing the wrong thing.

did your parents witness you 2 getting married? if they did then they are witnesses to the event in question. so yes them being witnesses is legal.
