Have You Created Your Wedding Planning Checklist Yet?
Is your wedding day rapidly approaching? Have you taken care of all the details that go into making this glorious day the best it can possibly be? Getting married is exciting, but planning for your wedding takes a lot of work. To help you with this process, here we have created a brief wedding checklist which you can refer to make sure all the details of your wedding have been ironed out beforehand.
To ensure your wedding goes off without a hitch, you should realistically begin planning for this celebration when the day in question is about 9-12 months away. At this stage you may want to consider starting a wedding folder or binder in which you can jot down ideas or insert pages from bridal and food magazines. Also, decide on your budget and the wedding party, reserve the hall for the reception, hire the person who will perform the ceremony, and start the guest list.
As your wedding day inches ever closer—between 6-8 months out—there are a number of very important tasks that need to be completed. Among these are hire the photographer, videographer, caterers, and entertainment, purchase a wedding dress, register your wedding at at least three separate retail locations, select and purchase the invitations, book a florist, and arrange for transportation and arrange accommodations for out of town guests.
As your wedding day gets closer, you will no doubt begin to feel the butterflies in your stomach, but that is only natural. There are, however, still a few things left to do to ensure your wedding is a complete success. You need to meet with vendors and photographers to go over your wedding program, buy your wedding rings, begin composing a “day of” timeline for your wedding day, negotiate the cost and the menu of the rehearsal dinner, and check on and later send out the wedding invitations.
Of course there are several other details that didn’t make this particular list, but this should give you at least some idea of how to compose a wedding checklist for your ceremony. These types of lists are perfect for keeping you on track and reducing the amount of stress you feel as your big day approaches. With the proper planning your wedding day will be a day you will remember forever.
