Wedding Lasso Tradition

What are the essentials when it comes to a traditional wedding?
My church stated that they encouraged the use of arras and a lasso. Are there any other traditions I’m missing?
My religion is Catholic and I’m Hispanic.
The only essentials are a marriage license which allows you to be married legally, two witnesses, your vows to each other, and a minister. Everything else is totally optional, contrary to popular belief.
