Wedding Dress Woes: Resolved by Wedding Insurance!
If you are prepping for a wedding sometime in the not so distant future, one item to schedule as a consideration would be wedding insurance. I know, not a terribly stimulating part of your overall wedding stuff, but if you really want to delight in your wedding day, this is the particular thing to concentrate your energies on. Sure, it would more thrilling to focus on shopping for the perfect wedding dress, the best wedding DJ, or even the most awesome wedding venue, but if anything goes wrong with any of those previously listed items, it will all be for naught if your one and only special day is not covered by a policy of wedding insurance.
Suppose you find the perfect wedding dress. It fits you breathtakingly well and only needs a few minor changes. After going back to the dress shop for some final adjustments you realize it’s not fitting as well as it did on the first day you tried it on. Absolutely fine because you have a couple of months before the wedding day arrives. Besides, a lot can change with your body in a many moons. So, you leave the perfect garment at the boutique and decide you’ll go back for a final fitting about 3 weeks before your wedding day. You concentrate on all the other giant pile of details you need to handle (one of them not wedding insurance, oops…) and stop distressing about the perfect garment. 40 days before your wedding day, it happens.
A torrential downpour rocks the city. Your bridal shop gets hit hard by the tragic tons of fluid sweeping into and through the city streets. knee high amounts of muddy, destructive water in the storage space wet everything from mid thigh down. Your perfect wedding day apparel is now unbelievably soaked, stained, and destroyed. Now you’re wedding will be ruined, right? Maybe you could try to search out a new dress, but I’m sure you know, your heart will be broken and the new dress will not compare to the “perfect” one. I know, it’s a long shot of destruction like this ever happening, but, then again, Tennessee just recently got hit by storms and if there are any bridal shops in Nashville, I bet there were a lot of unhappy brides throughout the some of those southern towns!
With a wedding insurance policy set up you would have some ways out available to you depending on what kind of coverage you went for. The first step might be to do just what was mentioned previously, that is, search and search for the next exactly what you want in a wedding dress. Your wedding insurance should cover this cost, as it is not going to be a whole boatload of dollars. If you aren’t able to find a new dress, your next choice may be to find a garment fixing store that can repair your dress in some way. There have been a lot of technological steps up in the world of dry cleaning, and if you take your ruined wedding dress to different shops, you might be able to remake the damage.
A realistic option is this: A large number of dresses are one of a kind, but many are produced in the hundreds or even thousands. you happen upon an exact replacement and with a few fixes, you’d still have your dream dress.
And now, the most gigantic step would be to put off your wedding day. You’d have to have a very thorough and comprehensive wedding insurance plan to be able to cancel your wedding day and have it on another day, but it has happened in the past and will happen again that is a fact. You may be able to transfer some deposits to your new upcoming date, but all that really matters is that you have the prospect to try again. If it is a flash flood that stains and obliterates your dress, chances are the church and the wedding ballroom have been affected by the same devastating flood. Perhaps they will have some kind of wedding insurance to cover them. Will they be able to fix everything in time for your special day? If you’ve taken out a policy, it won’t really matter for naught, because you’d be able to relax until they are ready to continue on themselves.
This account is fake, but as you can see, it’s not too over the top. Couples spend so much money on this one special day. The median cost in the US sits right at about $34,000. That is a mega-amount of dough. Protecting your investment should seem like a no-brainer, but people are always looking to save money and cut corners. Once a couple sets a budget, they do everything in their abilities to stay within that budget. In reality, just about every section of their wedding ends up costing them more than they thought, sometimes a lot more. It is a happy occasion if an item comes in under what they budgeted. There are wedding insurance policies for under a couple hundred bucks out there and although it might not cover you enough to redo your whole wedding, it’s better than rolling the dice and wishing that nothing too damaging will occur.
With the right amount of coverage in place, all your troubles can be assuaged. Just the idea that you can re-do your wedding day should be enough to convince you that wedding insurance is not only a viable option, but almost a necessity.
