Wedding Garder Tradition
What wedding “traditions” did you not follow?
I’m not doing the following: What about you guys?
1. no stag and doe. I make more than most of my friends and I just think its tacky
2. no bridal shower games. I hate them
3. no garder toss
4. no cake in the face
5. no bridal party dance
6. no slideshows of pictures of us growing up
anything else?
Oh I forgot that too! I’m also not having a flower ring or ring bearer
No unity candle for me either! Or anything religious for that matter. Also, no tacky decorations on the limo, and no ugly shoes like some brides find it funny to wear.
I think I’m going to ditch my veil too
We will not have a slideshow, we will not have a ring bearer or flower girl (our MOH and BM will hold the rings instead), no reading of the 1 Corinthians, and there will be no chicken dance. I would like to say no cake in the face, but I know that my FH won’t be able to resist the chance.
We will each be having Bachelor and Bachelorette parties and are so far undecided on whether or not it will be necessary for us to have a Stag and Doe. They are common in our area and might just be a fun night for all of our friends to come out and participate in a 50/50 draw while having a good time with my FH and I.
