100-150 people destination wedding- St Thomas or Turks & Caicos?
We want to get married end of July / start of August 2011 in the Caribbean.
We will have around 100-150 guests. Do you think St. Thomas or Turks & Caicos would be a better choice?
We want to have our ceremony on the beach, but want a place where the guests can have fun too! Needs some nightlife, and of course price affects our decision. Which island is cheaper? Which island has better beaches and bluer waters?
We like St. Thomas because you can travel with only drivers license from USA, and Turks & Caicos doesn’t need a visa. Any other Caribbean island suggestions are welcome!
St Thomas would be your best bet because of the passport issue. Everyone would need a passport to go to any other country, you can only go to the US Virgin Islands or Puerto Rico with a drivers license ID. Would make it a lot easier for your guests that otherwise would not travel out of the country from having to get a passport. St Thomas is beautiful, and St John is just a short ferry ride away with the top beaches in the Caribbean. St Thomas has some good beaches as well. We loved the snorkeling, best we found anywhere. The Wyndham is an all inclusive which might be a good thing for a big wedding party. Some other larger hotels also on the island though.
