Wedding Attendants Duties
A list of duties for attendants?
My daughter has asked me to help her write up lists of specific “jobs” for each of her bridesmaids / matron of honor to give to them prior to the wedding. Example:
Bridesmaid 1:
Encourage guests to sign picture frame
Relay all messages to / from caterer
Keep dressing room off limits before wedding
Bridesmaid 2:
Videotape messages from guests
Pass out corsages / boutonnieres
Relay messages to / from Groom before wedding
Matron of Honor:
Help bride dress
Help bride in restroom when needed
Keep other attendants on task
Groomsmen:
Keep an eye on gift table making sure to deposit cards into box
You get the idea… any suggestions for other “jobs” that may need to be deligated?
Thanks, this is helpful for us too. I’m also going to do some of the decorating and I’m looking for people to come early and help me. Also, I’m asking a few people to take photographs and send me the disc. I’m having another person stand with the guest book and still another with the name tags and table seating. I am going to assign one of the bridesmaids to watch the flower girl during the ceremony, so the parents won’t have to jump up and attend to her. Can’t think of anything else right now. I am making a program and writing approximate times on the one for my music person so that we can keep to some kind of schedule. If I can’t have my music person act like the Master of Ceremonies, I’m going to ask someone to do that. I hate when there is no organization and things run on and on. Good Luck.
