Wedding Attendants Dresses
I feel bad asking my friends/family to be attendants in our wedding?
I dont want to put anyone out having to buy dresses/shoes etc or rent tuxes, I feel bad because I know some of them dont have much money and I dont want them to have to pay for this, but i still want everyone to look nice and my pictures to look good. Any suggestions? I cant really afford to buy everyones for them or this is what I would do.
I am only having 2 groomsmen and my brother will be wearing his dress military uniform. So can I tell the other guy just to wear a nice suit? Would that look stupid?
Men can wear nice dress slacks, dress shirt in color of your choice, black shoes, and a tie in a color of your choice. It’s the suit/tux jacket that gets really expensive, so if you can forgo that I think that it will still look nice and save a lot of money. And as long as the shoes are black, no one will notice what they look like.
The girls can wear a nice off the rack dress in color/style of your choice.
Check out JC Penny, or even Target (or even Walmart for the guys). You can have the men buy the same pants, shirts, and ties so they all match. And they will be clothes that they can wear again and again, so although you are asking them to spend a little money, you aren’t asking them to waste it on a one-time only outfit. You’ll get the best size/color selection online.
All these things can be bought very inexpensively and still look very very nice.
EDIT – A nice suit for the other groomsmen would def. look fine. I acutally prefer that for smaller weddings. My brother even just wore a nice suit when he was the groom and it looked very very nice.
