Am I being selfish about the bachelorette party attire?? Don’t wanna wear a stupid t-shirt?
I am the maid of honor at my best friends wedding. She wants to go out for bachelorette partying to different clubs/bars and she wants to wear a cheesy tiara and sash (which is fine for her). But she is asking us to go along with it and wear cheesy, stupid t shirts that have nicknames on them. I have told her I am not doing it.
I don’t want to go out on the town in DC (where people usually dress really nice when they out to clubs) in a t-shirt with a corny nickname on it. I have agreed to a small button or a color theme (like everyone wear something purple….). But I DO NOT want to wear a t-shirt. She is pretty persistent about it. She keeps bringing it up even though I have already told her I don’t want to do it. Am I being totally selfish?
I personally think she is out of line, mostly because the t-shirt has something printed on it. I wouldn’t want to wear a t-shirt like that, especially if it was really tight.
I don’t think you are being selfish. This whole attitude about it being the brides day and that everyone is obligated to obey her every whim really gets on my nerves. Is there something about being a bride that causes a woman to regress back to being a spoiled five-year-old who has to be indulged at all costs? I don’t care if she is the bride, she has no right to humiliate other people.
