Sample Wedding Speech Bride
Really Important Wedding Issue Please Help!?
I’m writing my speech for my wedding (my thank you speech) and I’ve looked up samples and all but in the samples I (the bride) would thank my new husbands parents for welcoming me into the family and raising my husband so well. My issue with this is that they haven’t been welcoming in the slightest. Everyone knows that too so if I say that I think my whole speech would sound phony. Should I try to find some other reason to thank them, not mention them or say it anyway and hope people just “know” I’m saying that in order to be polite?
Also if I do try to keep it more real would it be rude or in poor taste to say that I know we have had an interesting start to our relationship but as time goes on I find your company to be more and more enjoyable??? something like that…to indicate things are going better now and I hope they keep getting better?
and to Chad’s family, I thank you for your wonderful son, he is everything I ever dreamed of and my knight in shining honor, or something. This is enough.
