1. Be Distinctive! What is comfortable to you? Do your own thing. If you want to stroll down the isle to a track that is rather untraditional but means something to you, do it! If you desire to put on a crimson wedding gown, go for it! Do you want a theme for your day? Yes! It’s your day, do what is comfy and in your style. Your wedding day will be a memorable one to all guests if you don’t stick to the tradition!
2. The florist! When you go see a florist for your bouquet or opt for to have a table floral arrangement, get a picture from the florist of the sample that they give you. Make an agreement or clause in your contract that states if what they deliver that day does not fit what they recommend to you or the sample, that you will get a discount. What has been known to happen is they show you a big, exuberant, lush arrangement and when you see it on your day, it is a plainly an arrangement smaller with less flowers that cost less to make.
3. Hair and makeup! Get a hair and makeup trial for the bride. Remember that when working with a flash with wedding photography, that the makeup will look different to how you see it with the eye. So trust the professional who applied it. It may appear darker but the bright sunlight fades it out. Have an idea what you want, and make sure the artist understands it. That is why it is important to have a trial.
4. Music, Dj or Music band! Come to an agreement on a song list. Make sure they play it. Put a clause in the contract that they have to play songs off the play list.
5. Itinerary! For the day keep an itinerary with the hours of the day and what you will be doing. Getting ready, ceremony with address, reception with address. List the phone numbers of service providers such as the limo, photographer, the church. You never know what may happen and you may require to ring them or give the address to someone.
