Lighted Wedding Garland

How to decorate this room (pic included)?
The picture here is the room I am going to be getting married in.
The photo is at Christmas with garland, whereas my wedding is going to me March 1. There will be snow outside still (its in Canada).
Any ideas on how to spruce this place up a bit? Flowers? Artwork? Floors?
Ceremony will be at 2pm so not that great for candle light

The walls are actually sage green, its hard to see, crappy pic 
Take down the pics on the wall they make me think retreat not wedding.
If you can use chairs instead of furniture go for it, and create your own area for flowers to line your walkway to the fireplace. I’m not sure how big the room is, but chairs would give you more space to get creative
