Groom Wedding Speech Samples
Can you help with the bride/groom speech?
I know we have to (and we WANT to, more importantly) do a speech at our wedding this Friday, August 6th. What should this speech have in it? Any specific points we shouldn’t forget? Any good samples/ideas?
We did a speech at our engagement party and im planning on using a similar one at the wedding. We Took it in turns it wasn’t rehearsed but it turned out they way!!
We started by thanking everyone for coming to celebrate our engagement (wedding) and how much it meant to us to have everyone we love and care about in the same room to share such an important day together!
We thanked family/friends that had travelled a distance to be there.
We then thanked everyone who helped plan and organise the night.
We then went on to thank our parents as they paid for the party, and they are the most amaxing parents so we couldn’t leave them out!!
When then finished by saying something along the lines of now everyone drink, dance and have a great night!!
You can write a speech but through the nerves (and Champagne lol) you might forget it, have a few main points but just go with how you feel on the day.
Its hard to know what you will want to say until your there in your dress looking out at all your loved ones. When Friday comes you will know what to say!
