This will make your groom feel like he has an important role to play, and that he is more than just a guest at his own wedding.
Men are often more amenable to joining in when the bride does the early research. Get focused on your top options before taking your fiance out to see vendors. If you want your groom to help out more, make it an enjoyable project. Have dinner at the country inn you are visiting, take a romantic drive, or do something else that makes the excursion about more than just the wedding.
The major choices about the wedding are best made as a couple. It is his wedding too, after all. He just might need your help to dive into the planning.
