Scared of Moving on HELP!?
My Fiancee and I are buying a house and are moving into it in August. Our wedding is next fall. I am have dreamed about this since I was a child. Every Girl dreams about finding her prince,buying there first house and starting a family. But now that it is soo real, I am now scared of Moving away from my parents, and starting my new life with a Husband. My Fiancee is an Only child of a Russian Immigrant family. Here in the USA, it was just his mother and him. Now it is Just him and I. We did all the right way. We both went to college, graduated and got jobs. I am sure it is scary for other newlyweds but how did you handle it? I now have another person to think about besides myself.
Feeling scared is absolutely normal. You are leaving the comfortable and the well known for uncertainty. Take solace that you love this person, dwell on the positive. Take into consideration all the things you have ahead of you, and count your blessings every day when you wake up. Sounds like you have done great so far. And keep in mind moving away from home doesn’t mean you can’t turn to your parents for advice, it is just expanding your relationship with them.
