Whats the law on marrying someone who is illegal in Vegas?
So, I have been with someone for a couple years now and are thinking about getting married, but he crossed here from Mexico illegally and we recently had a child (if that helps any). We really want to get married, but we don’t want him to end up being sent back to Mexico for 10 years to get his green card. Would we be able to get married in Vegas and have him get shorter time or something? We live in California and we were thinking about getting married in Vegas as a quicky wedding and when the legal issue was set, that we would have our big wedding in California so that it will be legal when we want it to really be official. How do we go about doing that?
And please, only answer if you know what you are talking about or are in the legal business. I don’t play little kid games.
not sure about vegas laws but i know here in florida all you need is a mexican passport which he can get at a consulado mexicano (mexican consulate). no matter what he will have to return to Mexico for a time during the process which can take up to 10 years if he gets no other ban.go to immigrate2us.net they have some very good articules there.i will post the link on the process below.
