Bridesmaid Wedding Speech
I need a toast/speech to recite for my best friend’s wedding… help!?
Growing up my 2 best friends and I were attached at the hip. Laura is having her 3 cousins as her Bridesmaids, so we’re not in her wedding party, but we’d like to do a toast/short speech anyway. I’m not a great writer, so I’ve been trying to write something for weeks (as has the other friend) and we’re stuck. Anyone have any toasts/speeches that would be suitable? Thanks so much for your help… we’re getting desperate!
I think you are very sweet for wanting to toast your best friend at her wedding! Some friends would feel slighted not being asked to be in the wedding party so I applaud you for being a true friend!
I would sit down at the computer or with paper and just think about the memories, fun times, life’s lessons you’ve learned along the way with your friend. You can just freewrite/type words that come to mind when you think back about how she’s influenced the person you are today and the friendship that you’ve established over the years. Speak from the heart, telling her what your wishes for her future are and maybe what you have personally gained from having her in your life. It doesn’t have be long just so it comes from your heart. I’m sure if you do that she’ll treasure your words!! Good luck!
