We are looking at some packages in Zante/Zakynthos, for a beach ceremony and a terrace reception

im actually planning a destination wedding!
dont just think of it as a destination wedding,think of it as a weddingmoon.so many couple spend so much money on their day in their home country and then fork out for a honeymoon as well
our main concern was that my fiances family would turn up and ruin the day should we get married in england.we also looked at the average cost and after some research we realised that it would be cheaper to go abroad.we can have everything that we want and still keep the wedding at a lower cost,which will enable us to have a blessing and reception once we get back home
you have to realise that some people may not be able to make it,or that youll have to cut the guestlist down.all i can suggest is that you do research – make sure you know the legalities of where you want to marry (some places have minimum residency,also other papers like statement of non-impediment).its definitely worth looking for a planner – it doesnt always work out cheaper to book a package with a travel company like thomas cook.ive found a few planners to get you started (there are more though,so do a search yourself)
dont let other peoples negativity get you down – at the end of the day,it is up to you what you do and where you go on your wedding day.if people do get upset,simply explain that youre not doing it to upset them,you just want a fantastic day and whether thats in your local church or on a beach in the carribean,so be it
